Keep the name as editable text while you attach it to a single guide path. In a supported LightBurn workflow, select one text object and one connected vector path, then use Apply Path to Text. Convert a copy to outlines only after the spelling, curve and final size are approved.
A June 2026 curved-logo question asks why text could not be adjusted as expected. The official Apply Path to Text instructions distinguish live text from grouped or disconnected objects, which helps diagnose this before any P2 marking.
Start with an uncomplicated curve
Make a working file with one short name and one open arc. Leave the text editable. Select only those two objects. If the command is unavailable, inspect what is actually selected: an outlined word is no longer one text object, and several adjacent line pieces are not necessarily a connected path.
Once attached, adjust the text through its text controls and adjust the curve through its path geometry. Use the path's shape and direction to establish the layout before making small spacing decisions. Do not expect dragging the text as an independent object to behave as it did before attachment.
For a sample logo, choose an arc and position that keep every letter inside a 40 mm-wide composition. Replace a five-letter name with a longer test name and compare the first and last letters. If the longer name overruns the intended arc, reconsider type size or the curve; shrinking only the horizontal dimension may make the lettering look visibly distorted.

If the guide is not meant to mark, keep it on a documented non-output Tool layer in LightBurn and verify the preview. Merely making its color pale is not an output control. Preserve the live source because deleting or converting objects can alter their relationships.
An added outline around curved lettering needs its own border-scaling check; it may be separate geometry rather than a live extension of the text. When placing the complete logo over a positioning reference, lock that digital reference before editing the name.
A curve on screen is not a curved-surface promise
The TYVOK P2 page describes compact galvo personalization and lists a 60 × 60 mm field. Curved lettering refers here to the artwork, not engraving around a cylindrical object. Confirm blank support, focus and material compatibility independently. Work in the documented software setup and approve the final-size sample before permanent personalization.

Can I delete the guide after approving the curve?
Deleting a live guide can detach the text and return it to a different orientation. Keep the editable master; if the workflow needs a standalone shape, make and inspect an outlined copy instead of deleting the live relationship in the only file.
